Broken Sprinkler Head:
Signs that you might have a broken sprinkler head:
- Dry spots in your lawn
- A sprinkler that is shooting water directly up in the air
- Water leaking from the side of the sprinkler head / pooling water.
- Sprinkler head will not rise or pop-up.
What causes sprinkler head damage:
- Lawn equipment is the most common reason for damage to sprinkler heads.
- Clogged nozzles can be caused by dirt in the system
- Poorly manufactured sprinkler head / low quality materials
You can address a broken sprinkler head by replacing the affected sprinkler head. We recommend that you replace the sprinkler head with the same type and brand of sprinkler that is installed throughout your whole system. We would also like to note that you might want to consider replacing all the sprinkler heads with a higher quality sprinkler head if you feel you see a lot of broken or malfunctioning sprinklers often. Using a low-quality brand of sprinkler head may end up costing you more down the line. Some brands do not hold up to stress as well as the better-built sprinkler heads due to poor quality materials.
